    This fun and interactive program is designed to connect NDIS participants with sporting clubs across Australia to help participants meet their physical activity goals. Developed with the University of Queensland’s School of Psychology, the program inspires growth through sport.

An exciting sport-based program for NDIS participants

Learn strategies to help improve resilience, physical health and mental wellbeing.

Developed by the Humanity Code, leaders in mental health education, with They University of Queensland’s School of Psychology, the program inspires growth through sport. The program is run in conjunction with elite and community sports clubs.

Using their training in sports psychology and their sport of choice, athletes support the participants by providing strategies to build on their physical and mental skills.

This program is a must for anyone who loves being out on the field or any sports fans looking for an up close and personal day with their favourite club.

By being immersed within the community sport sector, participants learn strategies to help improve resilience and mental health wellbeing, in social and friendly environment.

The program is a four or six week program, suitable for participants aged over the age of 6 years old to adults, with age appropriate groups within the sessions.

Play of the Day programs have been run with the following clubs:

  • Brisbane Broncos
  • Gold Coast Suns
  • Ipswich Jets
  • Queensland Reds, and
  • Simon Black, Brownlow Medal winner and AFL legend

The Play of the Day program is scheduled to run at various locations across Australia. If you’d like to register for future dates please get in touch!

Program outcomes:

Improve physical health and fitness through participation in sports activities

Develop team-building skills and learn to work together as part of a team

Increase self-confidence and self-esteem through physical activity 

Develop communication skills by participating in group activities and discussions 

Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through sports-related activities

Foster connection and community building by engaging with other program participants

Learn sportsmanship and the value of sportsmanship.

Week 2: Self-confidence & achievements

Week 3: Communication styles

Week 4: Managing and overcoming stress

Week 5: Self-love and goal planning

Week 6: Final play and celebration

  • 6 week curriculum with group activities lead by an allied health clinician
  • Opportunity to watch elite athletes train
  • Opportunity to meet and have photos taken with team members
  • A comprehensive program workbook that guides attendees through program content. This is something the attendee can take home for future reference
