The Essentials for Foodies Program is a 6-week Dietitian-led group program for NDIS participants. The program is designed for people who would like to develop greater independence in planning healthy meals, shopping for grocery items and preparing healthy meals and snacks.

The program enables participants to feel confident in making healthy food choices to improve their health and wellbeing.





6 Week Course

Suitable for adolescents aged 17+ and adults of all ages.

  • Plan healthy meals
  • Shopping for grocery items
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks

By the completion of the 6-week course, participants will:

  • Improve knowledge of basic nutrition
  • Improve independence in planning and preparing healthy meals and snacks
  • Increase confidence in navigating supermarkets
  • Increase social skills and interaction
