• Fun2Thrive

    Fun2Thrive is an after school program designed to help school-aged NDIS participants reach their capacity building goals through creative active and play-based activities.

The Fun2Thrive program runs outside of school hours for the duration of the school term.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore their emotions, build relationships with others and practice their communication and collaboration skills in a safe and supportive environment.

The program incorporates a range of creative therapies and techniques to foster connection and creative expression. Our goal is to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to build strong relationships and become more confident in social settings.

Parents and/or carers are welcome to attend.

Program format: Group program

Age group: 6 to 14 years old


PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Develop communication skills by participating in group activities and discussions

Increase self-confidence and self-esteem by engaging in play activities

Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through play-based activities

Foster connection and community building by engaging with other program participants

Learn how to express emotions appropriately and build relationships with others

Develop an understanding of social behaviors and rules for interacting with others

Practice teamwork and collaboration skills.

Week 1: Self-awareness and self-esteem through – play therapy 

Week 2: Body language – music therapy  

Week 3: Emotions – art therapy  

Week 4: Communication – play therapy  

Week 5: Conversation skills – play therapy  

Week 6: Friendship skills – sports therapy  

Week 7: Assertiveness skills – sports therapy 

Week 8: Friendship building – art therapy  


PRICING:

$1002.23 for an 8-week school term

INCLUSIONS:

  • 8-week program with group activities run by an APHRA-accredited allied health clinician
  • Program workbook
  • End of program summary letter outlining progress in relation to NDIS goals

At Care Squared Connect, we believe in tracking progress and providing tangible evidence of success. Once a participant has completed the program, we provide a summary letter that outlines the progress they have made along the way. This summary letter serves as a record of their successes and provides them with a way to reflect on the progress they have made. We are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our participants and are committed to helping them track their progress.
