• Gardening Therapy

Relax in the garden while improving your physical and mental health.
The Gardening Therapy program is a 6 week therapist led program for NDIS participants or those affected by a physical or mental disability. The program encourages the development of fine and gross motor skills, physical health and wellbeing in a fun and social group setting.

These groups will be slower and more relaxing and provide benefits such as sensory play and integration. Furthermore, the slower pace will allow for in depth discussions to support social connection and mental health therapy.

Our Gardening individual therapy or groups include sensory play and integration for in depth discussion, social support and mental health therapy.

Gardening therapy can assist with reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve attention, interrupt harmful ruminations and improve mood. Gardening can make you feel more peaceful and content. Focusing your attention on the immediate tasks and details of gardening can reduce negative thoughts and feelings and can make you feel better in the moment

By the participating in the program, participants will have:

  • Increased sense of self-empowerment
  • Increased sense of self-care and self-awareness
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Reduced depression and fatigue
  • Improved interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced mind-body connection
  • Increased sense of meaning
